Lemont High School Set for 28th Annual Band Benefit Dinner Dance on March 4

LEMONT, IL — The 28th Annual Lemont High School Band Benefit Dinner Dance, featuring the music of the school’s jazz bands, will be held at DiNolfo’s Banquets on Saturday, March 4. Event proceeds will support the award-winning Lemont High School band programs. The evening will include the induction of the latest class of Lemont High School Alumni Hall of Fame honorees, and is one of many upcoming performances that will include the Honors Jazz Ensemble.

The Band Benefit Dinner Dance will run from 6-11:30 p.m., with dinner being served at 7 p.m. The Alumni Hall of Fame honorees will be inducted at approximately 7:45 p.m. The dancing portion of the evening will begin at 8:30 p.m. and run through the rest of the night.

The evening also will include raffles for cash and prizes, with winners being announced later in the evening.

DiNolfo’s Banquets is located at 14447 W. 159th Street in Homer Glen.

Reservations for the Band Benefit Dinner Dance are $60 per person, and include dinner, dancing and a cash bar. Admission is $10 for those interested in attending only the dancing portion of the event; those individuals may not enter until 9 p.m. The deadline for reservations is Saturday, February 11.

The Honors Jazz Ensemble will kick off its “spring tour” on January 21 by participating in the North Shore Jazz Festival at Glenbrook South. It will open for Brass Tacks at Hackney’s Restaurant on February 1, and take part in the Lincoln-Way Central Jazz Festival on February 11. After the March 4 performance at the school’s Band Benefit Dinner Dance, the group will have a pair of performances on March 18 – at Saint Xavier University’s Jazz Combo Festival and at the Lemont Arts Gala event. Its final performance of the year will be at the school’s Evening of Jazz Concert on April 11.

The year’s Lemont High School’s Alumni Hall of Fame class will be announced in the next few weeks.
