Based on the books of Dr. Seuss—mainly “Horton Hears a Who!”, “Horton Hatches the Egg” and “Miss Gertrude McFuzz”—Seussical is a musical by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty that debuted on Broadway in 2000. The musical’s story is a mash-up of many of Seuss’s most famous books. After a short run on Broadway, the production spawned two United States tours, as well as a tour in the United Kingdom. Seussical has since become a loved classic for schools, as well as community and regional theatres.
