Lemont Historical Society Presents 'Art & Soul' Art Walk
Event takes place Friday from 6:30 to 9 p.m.

LEMONT, IL — Join the Lemont Historical Society, 306 Lemont Street, on Friday, September 16, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. for “Art & Soul,” an art walk featuring a variety of artists in visual and performing arts.
The walk begins at the Historical Society starting at 6:30 p.m. for hospitality and an exhibit. Participants will receive a self-guided map of art walk locations and stops in downtown Lemont. Art meets history as members of the Lemont Art Commission will be at each of the public art locations on Main Street, Canal Street and Front Street to interpret murals, discuss techniques and answer questions.
Participants will travel at their own pace through the art walk. About 20 locations will be participating, including some of the downtown restaurants, offering specials and/or sponsoring artists for the evening. Abe Lincoln will be on hand, and will begin his walk at 7:00 p.m. from the Historical Society.
