Lemont Historical Society to Commemorate 50th Anniversary of JFK Assassination

Attendees are invited to share their stories, memories and memorabilia, and view the Society's new exhibit to commemorate the 50th anniversary of this event.

The Lemont Historical Society will host a presentation and conversation on the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in 1963.

The event, titled "Where We Heard the News," will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, at the Lemont Historical Society, 306 Lemont St.

Guest speaker, John H. “Jack” Gordon, has consulted on numerous TV productions regarding this topic and has lectured at more than 100 campuses in 44 states. He will present his insight into the events surrounding the Kennedy assassination. 

Attendees are invited to share their stories, memories and memorabilia, and view the Society’s new exhibit to commemorate the 50th anniversary of this event following the presentation. The program will begin following a brief business meeting.
