Lemont Holiday Events: Movies, Concerts And More
There are lots of events going on in Lemont during the holiday season.

LEMONT, IL — The holiday season can be a busy one, but if you have some spare time this December, there are several holiday events happening around Lemont. Whether you're looking for a movie night, a holiday concert or holiday donation drives, we've got you covered. Here's what's going on in Lemont this holiday season:
- Polar Express Interactive Movie Night
Head to the First Church of the Nazarene at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 7, 6:30 p.m. Dec. 8 or 10:30 a.m. Dec. 9 for a showing of "Polar Express." Come in your PJs to watch the Polar Express on the big screen while elements from the movie come to life around you. Reserved Seating, tickets are $2.50 per person. Tickets are limited, for more information, call (708) 349-0454.
- Lemont High School Holiday Concerts
Listen to some holiday music at Lemont High School. There will be two concerts, one on Dec. 7 and one on Dec. 14. Different levels of the school's band and choir will be features. Both concerts begin at 7 p.m., and doors open at 6:30 p.m. The concert is free, but you can bring a canned good or paper good to be donated to the local food pantries.

- Senior Holiday Party
Seniors can enjoy Christmas music, a catered lunch and Bingo at the CORE Fitness and Aquatic Complex. The party will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Dec. 12. You must register, it is free for Lemont residents $8 for non-residents.
- Duck, Dive & Dodge for Donations Dodgeball Tournament at The CORE
Compete in a game of dodgeball and collect donations and funds for the Christmas Care Box deliveries. The tournament will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Dec. 14. Register by emailing info@hopeandfriendshipfoundation.com by Friday, Dec. 8.

- Hope & Friendship Foundation's Mission Stay Christmas Caroling
Meet at 6 p.m. Dec. 20 at the Lemont Township office and visit homes in the community who could use some holiday spirit.
- Hope & Friendship Foundation's Christmas Care Box Sorting/Creation Day
Help create Christmas Care Boxes that will be delivered on Christmas with dinners. The sorting will take place from 10 a.m. to noon on Dec. 23 at Old Quarry Middle School. You can drop off or bring donations of personal care/cleaning/paper products during December to bins in the lobbies of Old Quarry, Lemont Police Department, Lemont Township Office, and Starbucks. Boxes will be delivered on Dec. 25 from 11:30 a.m. t0 5 p.m.
