Lemont Juniorettes Host Ice Cream Social

The Lemont Juniorettes are hosting an ice cream social Sunday night for girls interested in learning more about the organization.

All girls ages 12 to 18 are invited to attend the event, which will be held from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Lemont Safety Village, 55 Stephen St. Current members will be serving ice cream as they discuss what the club has planned for the coming year.

The Lemont Juniorettes organization is one of the most active youth service groups in the village. The club is open to girls ages 12 to 18, and is sponsored by the Lemont Junior Woman's Club.

Annual service projects include face painting at Kops-n-Kidz Day, tie-dying T-shirts with kids at the Hope and Friendship Pool Party, making dinners at Ronald McDonald House and organizing clothes in the H.O.P.E. Closet.
