Lemont Man, 74, Charged with Criminal Sexual Assault, Battery
Thomas Pearson faces charges stemming from several different incidents.

LEMONT, IL — A 74-year-old Lemont man was arrested Jan. 11 on criminal sex assault, battery, and criminal trespass charges from separate incidents.
Thomas V. Pearson, of the 200 block of Cass Street, was charged with criminal sexual assault after an investigation of an incident that occurred in the 200 block of Cass Street in February 2016. The victim was an adult female, whose identity is being withheld for privacy.
Pearson was also arrested on two battery charges—one from a July 2016 incident, one from another in December 2016. Both battery victims were also female, police said. One incident involved Pearson allegedly shoving the victim; a second involved Pearson allegedly inappropriately touching a victim on her upper torso in an aggressive, nonconsensual manner.

Police also charged Pearson with criminal trespass stemming from an incident in December 2016, police said.
He appeared at a bond hearing at the Bridgeview Courthouse, where he was issued a $10,000 I-bond. He was released on his own recognizance.

He is next due in court on misdemeanor battery and criminal trespass charges on Feb. 21. A future court date has not yet been set on the felony charge of criminal sexual assault, police said.
