Lemont Man Drove With Man on Hood: Police Blotter

The 21-year-old faces reckless driving and conduct charges following the incident, police said.

A 21-year-old Lemont man was arrested after he drove his car while another man sat on the hood, according to police and media reports.

Joseph C. Haynes, of the 1000 block of Kim Place, was charged with aggravated reckless driving, reckless conduct and no insurance following an incident on the same block at 8:40 p.m. May 28, Lemont police said.

Haynes injured the man when he drove away while the man was still on his hood, Suburban Life Media reports. Emergency personnel took the man to a hospital, according to Suburban Life's story.

Haynes appeared at the Bridgeview Courthouse for a bond hearing, police said. Further information on this incident was not immediately available from Lemont police Thursday afternoon.
