Lemont Mayor Spearheads Suburban Signature Chefs Auction
The charity event, which is in its sixth year, will help the March of Dimes.

The following press release was submitted by the Mayor’s Office of the Village of Lemont:
Mayor Brian Reaves and his wife Sherrie invite you to attend the Suburban Signature Chefs Auction on November 13, 2014 at the Bolingbrook Golf Club. Join over 400 participants and fifteen local celebrity chefs as they partner to help prevent birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality.
Enjoy yourself as top local chefs prepare their signature dishes to raise awareness and vital revenue to help the March of Dimes. Presented by Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital, all will gather to support the March of Dimes while enjoying an evening of fine cuisine, flowing wine, spirits and exciting custom-created auction packages. Lead Chef is Frederick Ferrara from the Joliet Junior College Epicurean Club. Celebrity chefs joining him are: Juan Luis Gonzalez from Mago Grill & Cantina, John Grembowicz from Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant, Tye Nielsen from The Reserve Steak House Harrah’s Joliet, Lawrence Alexander from Hollywood Casino Joliet, James Shamet from McQ’s Sports Bar & Grill, Filemon Ochoa from Meson Sabika, Alfredo Romero from Pinstripes, John Fleischer from Ashbury’s at Boughton Ridge, Brad Elston of the
Bolingbrook Golf Club and Tommy Michel from Two Brothers Tap House.
In its sixth year, the Suburban Signature Chefs Auction has an aggressive goal of raising $128,500. Mayor Reaves commented about his personal connection to the March of Dimes. “I am helping the March of Dimes because the March of Dimes helped my family. I have four children, all of whom were born prematurely around 36 weeks gestation. My wife and I were fortunate enough that none of our children experienced severe complications, however, without the research and medical advancements made by the March of Dimes, our story could have had another outcome.
