Lemont Schools Closed; Park District Opening Late Due To Weather
Several services will be closed or delayed on Tuesday due to the wintry weather.
LEMONT, IL — Winter weather is impacting communities around the Chicago area, including Lemont. In Lemont, several services, schools and other organizations have been impacted, and will be closed or have delayed openings.
Park District Delays Opening
The park district's CORE will delay opening until 7 a.m. Tuesday. The park district's preschool academy and kindergarten enrichment will also be canceled Tuesday.

No In-Person Classes At Lemont High School
Due to inclement weather, Lemont High School will not hold in-person classes on Tuesday. The school said all students will participate in their regularly scheduled classes remotely. All extra-curricular activities are also cancelled.

E-learning Day For D113A
District 113A school buildings will be closed Tuesday. The district will implement an e-learning day for all students.
Library Delays Opening
The library will open at noon Tuesday to allow staff to get to work safely, the library said.
A winter storm warning remains in effect until 9 a.m. Tuesday for Lemont, according to the National Weather Service. Snow accumulations of 3 to 7 inches is possible, and the worst conditions are expected now through Tuesday morning.
If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency, the weather service advised.
