Lemont Wrestlers Advance To Sectional Competition

The team captured the IWCOA 2A regional championship title with six first place finishes.

LEMONT, IL — Lemont High School will send 13 wrestlers to the Illinois Wrestling Coaches and Officials Association's sectional competition on Saturday, Coach Erik Murry said. The team captured the IWCOA 2A regional championship title with six first place finishes.

Sectional competition will be held at the Colosseum Regional Training Center, 11411 W 183rd St., Unit G, in Orland Park.

Lemont finished with 255 points, beating out second place St. Laurence, which had 108.5 points.

Individual place winners for Lemont included: Carter Mikolajczak (1st), Tyler Bentley (1st), Moe Khalil (1st), Stas Antalo (1st), Devin Gozalez (1st), Alex Pasquale (1st), Noah O'Connor (2nd), Sammy Schuit (2nd), Johnny O'Connor (2nd), Evan Schiffman (2nd), Jake Zator (2nd), Dominick Cisneros (3rd), and Connor Stomp (2nd).
