LHS Junior Named Lemont's St. Patrick's Day Queen

Lemont High School junior Kaley Cronin was crowned as queen on Saturday.

LEMONT, IL — Although the annual St. Patrick's Day parade was not held in Lemont this year, the Village still named its St. Patrick's Day Queen. Lemont High School junior Kaley Cronin was crowned as queen on Saturday, according to a release from the village.

Kaley is very proud of her Irish heritage and intends to visit and explore Ireland after the pandemic, her nomination letter states. She is an accomplished student at LHS, and is a member of National Honor Society, music honor society, science honor society, math honor society, and has a 4.5 GPA, according to her nomination letter.

Kaley is also a member of Mathletes, Health Occupations Students of America, and the Symphonic Band, Marching Band, and Jazz and Concert Band at Lemont High School, the village said. Kaley plans to attend college and earn a degree in Nursing.

According to the village, Kaley is also on the Board of the Interact and Leo Club, both volunteer clubs. She is also the captain of the tennis team, and works 15 hours a week at Franciscan Village in Lemont.

"She is truly a well-rounded girl and prioritizes her time and energy. She is truly an exceptional girl well deserving of this honor," the village said in a release.
