LHS Junior Scores Perfect 36 On ACT
Junior Molly Thornber is just the seventh Lemont High School student ever to achieve the feat.

LEMONT, IL — Lemont High School junior Molly Thornber added her name to a select list of Lemont High School students when she recorded a 36 on the ACT during the February administration of the exam, the school said.
Thornber is just the seventh Lemont High School student ever to achieve the feat. Thornber has proven to be one of the most high-performing students in Lemont’s Class of 2022 since first walking through the school’s doors as an eighth grader, the school said.
On average, less than two-tenths of one percent of students who take the ACT earn the top score, according to LHS. The ACT consists of tests in English, mathematics, reading and science. Each test is scored on a scale of 1-36, and a student’s composite score is the average of the four test scores.
