A Love Letter To Al

Though they had every reason to cross paths, it took this couple years to actually meet each other.

To celebrate Valentine’s Day, we asked Patch readers to write a love letter to that special someone and let us deliver it. This is Nicole Grajek’s love letter to her husband, Al:

To Al,

It is funny how life works. We lived only a mile away in the city and you lived behind my best friend for years, but we never met. We crossed paths every day going to the same grocery store and restaurants as well as sitting in the same section at many White Sox games. Finally, we crossed paths years later and had our first date. Now, five years later we are married and happy and ready for the next phase of our lives in a new town ready to take on the world. I love how sweet you are and caring. I love how good you can cook. I love the special things you do for me to make my life easier. It may have taken us years to meet, but I feel like I have known you my whole life. I hope we have many more years to come, and I know that we will always be there for each other.
