Man Did Not Videotape Shoppers Inside Kohl's: Police

Police investigated the complaint fully, they said in a release Friday.

LEMONT, IL — Lemont police investigating reports of a man videotaping shoppers inside a Lemont Kohl's store have determined the complaint was unfounded.

The woman shared her story on social media, warning people of her encounter. Police were able to identify the suspect, and used store videos along with personal interviews to conclude no crime was committed.

The woman also told police that the man had followed her home. Police learned that the car she reported was unrelated to the incident at the store, and the person inside was an acquaintance of one of her neighbors.
