Juvenile Shot In Willowbrook, Found Wounded In Lemont

LEMONT, IL — Lemont Police were called for the report of a gunshot victim at 5:43 p.m. Tuesday at Rosa and Tuscany lanes in the Estates of Montefiori subdivision, police told Patch. Police located a juvenile victim as well as a juvenile passenger sitting in a car, and learned the shooting had happened in unincorporated DuPage County in Willowbrook.

According to police, the two were headed to the hospital and called 911 when the dispatcher told them to pull off the road.

Lemont Police have turned the investigation over to the DuPage County Sheriff's Office.

The juvenile was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition, the DuPage County Sheriff's Office said. The passenger did not require medical attention.

Police said investigators are working to identify the shooter.
