LEMONT, IL — The country honors the life and achievements of civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. with a national holiday in his name Monday, Jan. 16.
Although it's a federal holiday, most retail businesses around the village will be open. But it's always idea to call ahead and check.

Schools: No classes for District 210, District 113-A, St. Alphonsus/St. Patrick, Ss. Cyril and Methodius, Everest Academy
Lemont Village Government: The Village Hall will be closed. State and federal government offices will be closed, too.
Lemont Public Library: The library will be open during its regular Monday hours.

Postal Service: No mail delivery, and all post offices will be closed.
Banks: Most financial institutions will be closed. Call ahead to be sure.
