Mayor Egofske Gives Virtual State Of The Village Address

LEMONT, IL — Instead of the in-person State of the Village address, Mayor John Egofske gave a virtual address to discuss the past year in Lemont, as well as a look to the future.

"We are fortunate that we have emerged out of 2020 with a very strong outlook," Egofske said in the address.

Egofske also discussed economic development, including business and residential growth. Businesses coming to Lemont in 2021 include a new wedding venue and banquet hall called The Bridge.

Recently opened businesses also include the Creamery, which opened Monday in downtown Lemont; and Three Stories Books which opened April 3.

"In addition, just about every business or building location in the downtown has invested or is in the process of upgrading their property or recruiting a new business or tenant into their location," Egofske said.
