Memorial Visitation Set for Beloved D113A Teacher

A memorial visitation in honor of Old Quarry Middle School teacher Susan Antonoff, will be held at Toon Funeral Home, 4920 Main Street, Downers Grove, on Saturday, June 25, from 1 p.m. until time of service at 3 p.m.

Antonoff taught at Bromberek School, Central School and most recently at Old Quarry Middle School, where she taught seventh and eighth grades, according to the district website. She worked at District 113A for 18 years.

"She will forever be remembered as a fun, energetic teacher and colleague who students and staff loved and respected. She was a loyal colleague and a champion for those who needed help," said Dr. Courtney Orzel, superintendent of schools, in an email to staff. "Our thoughts and prayers are with Mrs. Antonoff’s family and our entire school community as we mourn the loss of a vital educator who made a difference in the lives of our students and families in District 113A."
