LEMONT, IL — Barbara C. Rhodes, 80, of Batavia, died June 24. Graduated from Augustana College with a degree in Nursing in 1962. Co-coordinator for the Lemont Assurance Program with Heartland Blood Bank. Co-originator for the Lemont Meals for the Homebound Program. Originator of the Lemont Professional Nurses Association. Co-founder of the Lemont Little League Softball program.
Survived by her children, Greg (Colleen) Rhodes, Julie (Gary White) Rhodes, and Meredith (Jeff) Ludkowski; ten grandchildren, Ryan (Sara), Dylan (fiancée Elyse), Shannon (Aaron), Jonah (Hali) and their son, Jace, Jeffery, Jocelyn, Justin, Logan, Raena, and Madysen; her first great-grandson is due in August; and one brother, Doug Andrews.
Per Barbara’s wishes, no services will be held.
