Obituary: Gerhard F. Schulz

LEMONT, IL — Gerhard F. Schulz, 91, of Lemont, died March 11, 2020. Born in Poland, fled to West Germany in 1944, where he lived in Harburg, Germany until 1951, when he came to the United States. Gerhard worked as a bricklayer until he retired in 1993.

Survived by his wife, Hannelore Schulz; four children, Werner (Sarah) Schulz, Rita Schulz, Klaus (Theresa) Schulz, and Margrit (Christopher) Bechara; six grandchildren, Luke, Matthew, Lauren, Holly, Lilly, and Emily; and three siblings, Inge, Ilse and Lotti.

Visitation Saturday, March 14, from 9 a.m. until time of funeral services at 11 a.m. at Markiewicz Funeral Home, P.C. 108 Illinois St., Lemont. Interment Mt. Vernon Memorial Estates. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bethany Lutheran Church, 500 Lemont St., Lemont.
