Pools Around Lemont: Where To Swim This Summer

LEMONT, IL — Summer is just around the corner, and you may be planning now to find activities to keep the kids busy — and cool. An obvious summer favorite pastime is spending those hot afternoons at the local pool.

The state has issued guidance for pools to follow, so they can safely operate during the coronavirus pandemic. During Phase 4, swimming facilities can operate at 50 percent capacity, and employees and guests should wear face coverings when not swimming. In the bridge phase, which comes after phase 4, capacity limits increase to 60 percent for health and fitness facilities.

So where near Lemont can you take a dip? We've compiled this guide of local pools to help you and your family stay cool this summer.

• Lemont Park District Centennial Aquatic Center, 16028 127th St.: Season passes went on sale April 1. The pool opens on May 28 for pass holders. Opens to the public May 29. Daily reservations will be required for pool pass holders and daily visitors.
• Chaney Pool, 410 Rose St., Crest Hill: Summer pool passes are $35 per resident and $45 per non-resident. Pre-registration is required, no walk-ins. The pool opens June 5.
• Heritage Falls Water Park, 101 Troxel, Romeoville: Summer pool passes are $35 per resident and $45 per non-resident. Pre-registration is required, no walk-ins. The pool opens June 5.
• Pelican Harbor Outdoor Aquatic Park, 200 Lindsey Lane, Bolingbrook: Opening June 6. Prices vary depending on the day. All admissions must be purchased in advance; time slots will be available for registration based on your membership and residency status.
