Project Lemont Casts Net for Carp-o-Mania
Registration must be paid in full prior to the Sept. 11 tournament.
LEMONT, IL — Fishing enthusiasts, Project Lemont has the perfect event for you.
The group's Carp-O-Mania fishing event is set for Sunday, Sept. 11 from 8 a.m.–12 p.m. Register on Facebook at Project Lemont before the event for a complete list of rules and information.
The event will include fish caught from either or both the I&M Canal or Des Plaines River within the boundaries of Lemont. Prizes will be awarded for biggest and most fish caught, Cyprinus Carpio count only. Tickets are $25.

Weigh stations will be located under the Lemont Road bridge and the first kiosk at the Lemont Quarries. Check-in is required at either station prior to fishing. This is a first-come, first-served basis. No pre-baiting or fishing is allowed before 8 a.m. Fish must be weighed and verified by a Project Lemont volunteer. Those not registered on Facebook prior to the event may do so the day-of at either weigh station.
Prizes will be awarded at 1:00 p.m. at the Lemont Quarries Pavilion. Winner of the Biggest Fish will receive the Marty Tomczak trophy.
