Puckerville Farms in Lemont Kicks off Fall with Pumpkin Contests

The Cook County Farm Bureau Commodities/Marketing Team will kick off fall with its its 13th annual Giant Pumpkin Contest at Puckerville Farms on Saturday.

The event will run from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Puckerville, located at 13332 Bell Road in Lemont. 

In addition to rewarding the biggest pumpkin at the show, the farm bureau is also looking for the best pumpkin desserts in the area. Local residents are invited to enter their best pumpkin-themed desserts for a chance to win a cash prize.

A pumpkin decorating/painting contest will also be held for anyone 16 or younger. The theme this year is farm animals. 

The winner will receive a "Night at the Movies" gift package with six movie tickets, soda and popcorn.
