Road Closures, Street Paving Underway for Illinois and State Streets

LEMONT, IL — Lemont drivers are asked to plan for street improvements at Illinois and State streets in the days ahead.

The paving of Illinois Street and the intersection of State Street will occur again on Tuesday, Oct. 25 and Wednesday, Oct. 26 followed by installation of loop detection/sewer frame adjustments and surface paving on Monday, October 31.

This work will involve lane closures and traffic delays. Due to the heavy impact on traffic, the Village asks drivers to avoid this area whenever possible now through October 31, and plan alternate routes for traveling.
