ILLINOIS — Most of the Chicago area saw around 2 to 3 inches of snow after wintry weather on Thursday. The south and southwest suburbs seemed to see the most amount of snow, with Homer Glen receiving 3.7 inches of snow, according to snowfall reports shared with the National Weather Service.

- Darien, 3.5 inches
- New Lenox, 3.2 inches
- Mokena, 3.1 inches
- Clarendon Hills, 3.1 inches
- Elgin, 2.6 inches
- Barrington Hills, 2.5 inches
- O'Hare, 2.4 inches
- Plainfield, 2.4 inches
- Hoffman Estates, 2.1 inches
- Homewood, 2 inches
- Oak Lawn, 2 inches
- Bridgeview, 2 inches
- Oak Park, 2 inches
- Elmhurst, 2 inches
- Schaumburg, 1.8 inches

According to the weather service, a cold and active weather pattern is expected through next week. There is the potential for rounds of accumulating fluffy snow on Saturday afternoon and evening, again on Sunday through Monday night or early Tuesday, the weather service said.

Below zero wind chills are possible as well, and some locations could see wind chills of 15 to 25 below zero late Saturday night into Sunday morning, according to the weather service.
