Snowy Weekend Possible; Winter Storm, Heavier Snow Headed To IL
Potential is increasing for significant snowfall on Monday and Monday night.
ILLINOIS — A colder, snowy weekend is expected as a possibly large snow storm approaches the area. According to the National Weather Service, the high for Saturday will be 30 and the high for Sunday is 35.
Before the snow heads into Illinois, the low temperature could hit the single-digits, hovering around 6 degrees Friday night.
Light snow is expected Saturday night, mainly north of I-80. Snow will also be possible Sunday and Sunday night, according to the weather service.

Potential is also increasing for significant snowfall on Monday and Monday night, the weather service said. Six plus inches of snowfall is possible, and there is also a threat of freezing rain for south of I-80.
