State Street Water Tower Painting Almost Finished: Village
The painting will be finished next week, the village said.
LEMONT, IL — The repainting of the State Street water tower has been a source of amusement for Lemont residents, with some saying the water tower is wearing a hat, a mask, or that an advertisement will be painted on the tower which sits near State and 127th streets.
An advertisement will not be featured on the tower, but the Village of Lemont logo will.
"We are awaiting one more coat of white paint to go on the tower," Public Works Director Ralph Pukula said. After the final coat of white paint, the new Lemont logo will be painted on both sides of the tower, Pukula said.
