Snow Possible Saturday, Cold Temps For Christmas In Illinois
The early outlook for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day looks to be quite cold.
ILLINOIS — Temperatures will hover around 40 degrees this weekend, as colder weather is on the horizon, according to the National Weather Service. Saturday and Sunday will both have a high of 40 degrees, but the early outlook for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day looks to be even colder, perhaps with highs in the 20s.
However, for this weekend, there may be a slight chance of drizzle or light snow on Saturday. Sunday looks to be cloudy, but dry, and there is a chance of snow again on Monday.
While the East coast saw a large snowstorm bring several feet of snow to the area, Illinois has yet to see a significant snowstorm this season. The weather service said it's too soon to say if any snow will usher in the upcoming cold temperatures for the holiday.
