Village Approves Special Use Permit For Banquet Hall

LEMONT, IL — At its meeting on Monday, the Lemont Village Board approved a special use permit for a new banquet hall in downtown Lemont. The business, The Bridge, is located at 44 Stephen St., and will offer banquet hall with an outdoor dining/ceremony area.

The business will occupy two units, which total 7,000 square feet within the existing building located at the northwest corner of Stephen and Front streets, board documents state.

The Planning and Zoning Commission held a public hearing Oct. 7 and unanimously recommended the approval of the special use permit.

According to the board documents, the outdoor dining/ceremony area will close no later than 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. The business will also have to use additional traffic control for larger events as well as provide security.
