Warm Temps To Start The Week Before Cold Front In IL

Storms will move into the area Tuesday before a strong cold front.

ILLINOIS — Near-record warmth will continue Monday and Tuesday, before a strong cold front brings temperatures back to the 50s. According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will be in the upper 70s for the start of the week, and it will be windy on both Monday and Tuesday.

Monday could see gusts up to 35 mph and Tuesday could see gusts up to 40 to 45 mph. Storms will also move into the area on Tuesday, and wind gusts in excess of 50 mph are possible.

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday all have highs in the 50s, although it will be sunny and dry for the rest of the week, the weather service said.
