Winds Up To 35 MPH, Lake Effect Snow Possible To Start The Week

ILLINOIS — The week will start off with windy weather and possible snow in downtown Chicago, according to the National Weather Service. A prolonged period of strong north winds is expected late Sunday into Monday night, with gusts up to 35 mph. Lake effect snow is also possible for areas near the lake in northeast Illinois on Monday morning.

After the wind and possible snow on Monday, the rest of the week looks sunny and dry. Tuesday will have a high of 37, Wednesday a high of 43 and Thursday a high of 42, according to the weather service.

Friday has a slight chance of rain and snow and will be near 40.
