Wooden Paddle Donating 20 Percent Of Sales Tuesday To Sue Novak

Sue Novak lost almost everything in the May 31 house fire that took her brother's life.

LEMONT, IL — Wooden Paddle is donating 20 percent of all sales on Tuesday to help Lemont resident Sue Novak after a May 31 house fire, which took her brother's life and destroyed her home.

To help Novak, several Lemont businesses have held fundraising events, and there are several donation bins, set up by the Hope and Friendship Foundation, around town.

From 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Wooden Paddle said it will donate 20 percent of sales to help Novak. There will also be a donation box at the restaurant for those who wish to donate.

Donation bins can also be found at Corner Stone Tavern, 103 Stephen St.; Digs on Canal, 316 Canal St.; Next Mex, 319 Front St.; Nick's Tavern, 221 Main St.; and 223 Main, 223 Main St.

The Hope and Friendship Foundation has said the donation bins will remain in place under the watch of the business owners, and it is a safe drop location for cards, donations and gift cards.

Hope and Friendship is also accepting donations through PayPal for Novak.

Wooden Paddle is at 212 Stephen St., in downtown Lemont.
