Aurora Man Charged After Spitting On Montgomery Police Officer
Police offered to give the man a ride home, but ended up taking him to jail instead, after they say he spat on an officer.

MONTGOMERY, IL — Police in Montgomery say they arrested a heavily intoxicated Aurora man last week after he spit on an officer near the area of Mill Street and Route 25.
Fifty-year-old Christopher Holland was charged with aggravated battery of a peace officer, a class 2 felony, in addition to what the police called petty offenses: improper walking in the roadway and being a pedestrian under the influence of alcohol.
Police say they offered Holland a ride home after local residents reported him staggering in the roadway shortly before 10 p.m., but while en route, Holland allegedly spat on the police officer, and was taken to the Kane County Judicial Center instead.
