Village Of Montgomery: 2021 Summer Floral Contest Winners Announced

Montgomery, IL - The Montgomery Beautification Committee has announced the homes being honored for their exceptional landscape displays featuring annual and perennial flowers. "The Summer Floral Contest is a tradition, and it allows the Village to recognize our residents and business owners who help make Montgomery a beautiful place to live," says Dan Gier, Village Trustee. The Committee gathered on June 23 to personally visit each nominated home and place signs in front of the properties chosen for recognition. 

"The response was overwhelming this year. Our Public Works Team is so grateful to our community for taking such pride in their yards," says Renee Mason, Administrative Assistant for the Village of Montgomery Public Works Division. Renee and her team organized close to 100 nominations. In total, 76 homes received recognition. Addresses are available on the Village website for those who want to view the well-manicured lawns and beautiful landscaping. 

The Village asks participants or community members with exceptional landscaping and floral displays to share photos of their yards or businesses by emailing images to communications@montgomeryil.org. Photos already captured during this year's contest can be viewed here.
