Celebrate new year at Aurora church

Free party for the public

A public new year's-eve celebration will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, at Wesley United Methodist Church, 14 N. May St. in Aurora.

Admission is free. The public is invited. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Rev. John Bell, pastor, said food, activities for children ages 3-12 and a balloon drop at 7:45 p.m. are planned. Free babysitting will be available for children through age 3.

Activities will include glow-in-the-dark Playdough, beads and balloons, plus a bounce house.

Games will include Bozo buckets, bowling, dodgeball, beach-ball volleyball, ring toss, bags toss and Frisbee target toss.

Black lights and glow sticks will replace standard lights Rev. Bell said..

He invited, "Wear something bright so you can glow at our party. Come and have a great time! Bring a friend or two!"

The church fine arts committee is the celebration sponsor.
