Our shelter partners in Tennessee are over"pup"ulated! The state does not have Spay and Neuter Laws like Illinois and they are doing the best they can to shelter all of the dogs and puppies in need.
Safe Haven Dog Rescue would like to help these dogs and puppies by bringing them to Illinois on Saturday 8/3. We don't have a physical location, so we rely on the generosity of our community to open their homes to these dogs while they find their families. There's no better way to spend your summer!

Stranger Things Puppies- Eleven, Dustin, & Will are 6 month old hound mix puppies. They were found abandoned on the side of the road and taken in by a family who took care of them for a while. They are social with other dogs and people. They are about 16-18lbs each.
Monet- 1 year old female, 35lb pit mix, She's friendly and sweet. She's also good with kids and dogs.

Clint - 1.5 year old German Shepherd mix, 50lbs. Clint is an absolute sweetheart! He loves people and doesn't like being alone. He would benefit for someone who is home during the day.
Remi - This 1 year old 40lb shepherd mix is a typical fun-loving pup. He would make an excellent family dog. He would do best with an active family that has a yard for him to run in or a place for him to get exercise.
Tess – 6 months old mix. She’s so sweet to everyone she meets. Being locked up at the shelter makes her nervous and she’d love to get into a comfortable home! She's about 30lbs
Cassandra – Female, 2 years old, blue tick coonhound, very typical hound. Wants to sniff everything! Cassandra would do best with someone who has hound dog experience!
Boomer HW+ - This sweet guy is just 40lbs. He is a total love bug! He just wants attention and a person to snuggle with. He loves to lean into you for pets!
Helen -a 1.5 year old shepherd/hound mix. Like all mama dogs is just as sweet as can be. Her puppies are weaned and she’s ready for a family of her own now. Helen is about 35lbs and heartworm NEGATIVE!
Jamie- male, Jamie is a bassett/pit mix. He has shorter legs and is just so friendly. He's a shelter favorite. Good with other dogs too! Just 40lbs
Maddie- 1 year old mix is about 35lbs, super sweet and gets along with everyone! Sadly this girl is heartworm positive. She'll need a committed foster home for 2-3 months while she completes treatment.
Nadia – 6 month old shepherd mix. LOVING girl. Gets along with everyone! Heartworm NEGATIVE!
Maddox-male, heartworm negative!, coonhound/lab mix. He's about 60lbs and very friendly to kids and other dogs!
Manny- neutered male, HW-, lab mix, . This guy is friendly and energetic. He'd love a family to show him the good life!
Safe Haven provides you with everything you need while you foster. You also have the first option to adopt the dog you foster.
