Driver Escapes Sinking Car, Gets DUI: Montgomery PD

The 34-year-old Oswego man was able to get out of the pond on his own, police said.

MONTGOMERY, IL — An Oswego man faces multiple charges, including two counts of DUI, after police said his vehicle wound up in a pond Sunday in Montgomery. At around 1:12 am., police responded to a report of a vehicle in a pond in the 2100 block of Rochester Drive to find 34-year-old Adrian Mora in a partially submerged vehicle.

Police said Mora did not have any injuries, and was able to walk out of the pond. He received on-scene medical treatment and after an investigation, Mora was taken into custody on DUI charges.

Mora, of the 300 block of Grapevine Trail, was also charged with driving an uninsured vehicle and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
