Final Brush Pick-up of the Season Next Week

The final brush pickup in Montgomery for 2015 will take place the week of Oct. 5.

After that week, residents can dispose one bundle of brush no more than four feet in length on their regular trash day for Republic Services to pick up. Republic Services’ yard waste pickup will end Nov. 25 and will resume in April 2016.

Leaf pickup service is scheduled to begin Oct. 19, and will be provided on a weekly basis through late November. Leaves must be neatly raked behind the curb/edge of the roadway by 7 a.m. on the Monday of each week. Leaf piles should not be placed in the street as they can clog sewer drains, and cannot include grass clippings or sticks.

Public Works crews will make one pass through the village each week, unless addition-al routes are required due to excessive leaf quantities. Leaves should not be placed in bags unless intended for collection by Republic Services.
