Man Shot At In Montgomery Facing Drug And Forgery Charges
Police said he gave them a false name and produced forged documents

Lavonte T. Willingham was arrested and charged with drug possession and forgery after police responded to a shooting in Montgomery, according to the Beacon News. Police responded to a report of a shooting on March 14 on the 800 block of Victoria Drive.
Willingham, a 20-year-old from Chicago, was the apparent target of the shooting, but he was not hit. Police said he gave them a false name and produced forged documents. A search revealed a small bag containing white powder. He was booked at the Kane County Jail, and his court date is March 31.
A charge is merely an accusation of a crime, not a finding of guilt.
