Montgomery Fugitive Apprehended In Aurora
He's charged with unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon.

AURORA, IL — A Montgomery man accused of being a convicted felon in possession of a weapon was apprehended last week by the U.S. Marshals Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force. Kevin Cook, 56, of the 200 block of Fernwood Road, was apprehended April 4 in the 2000 block of Ogden Avenue in Aurora.
Cook was wanted on a Kendall County warrant for failure to appear on a charge of unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon. He had been at large since Jan. 18, according to the Kendall County Sheriff's Office.

Kendall County jail records show that Cook is being held on $50,000 bail. He would need to post $5,000 to be released. As of Monday, he remained in custody.
Cook was arrested in July 2017 after a report of a disturbance involving a man with a gun in the 0-100 block of Sonora Drive. Police stopped Cook's vehicle near Afton Drive and Pendleton Place and found weapon in his vehicle, according to authorities.
