Montgomery Police Investigating After Reports Of Shooting Monday

MONTGOMERY, IL — Police in Montgomery say they were called to the 1700 block of Marilyn Lane shortly before 5:15 p.m. Monday evening after several callers reported gunshots. Police said they found a discarded weapon but no indication that anyone was injured.

No arrests have been made, however a person was taken into custody for an unrelated warrant out of Kane County, police said in a news release.

Police are still investigating the shooting. Anyone with information should call Kendall County CrimeStoppers at 630-553-5999. All callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward for tips leading to an arrest.
