Montgomery Rotary Raffle Winner Announced

The winning ticket was drawn from only 750 tickets available. The drawing was live streamed on Facebook in December.

The Montgomery Rotary Club drew the winning ticket for their Wheel of Fortune Raffle during the club’s year end party in December. Mrs. Connie Buenvenida was the winner. Buenvenida had a choice of one of four trips or a cash prize. She opted for the cash prize. Members gathered earlier this month to present Buenvenida with a check.

The Wheel of Fortune Raffle was the Montgomery Rotary’s first major fundraiser. Members sold a limited number of tickets to provide excellent odds of winning. The money raised goes to the Club’s Foundation. Some of the projects in progress include establishing a community garden and establishing a neighborhood park. The Club participates in local service projects including: the street painting in front of Village Hall, planting flowers at the Montgomery VFW, cleaning up landscaping and painting projects at Krug Elementary School, providing Easter Hams for St Olaf’s food pantry, and running the pumpkin patch at the annual Montgomery Police Department’s Halloween Safety Event. During the previous year, the local Rotarians performed over 425 volunteer hours in our community.
