Montgomery School Calendar 2018-19: First Day Of School, Vacation

MONTGOMERY, IL — The first day of school in Montgomery is August 15 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP. The Community Unit School District has released its 2018-2019 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

• 8/20: First Day of School (Early Childhood)

September

• 9/3: No School (Labor Day)
• 9/21: No School (Teacher Institute Day)

October

• 10/8: No School (Columbus Day)
• 10/19: Early Dismissal (School Improvement Day)

November

• 11/1: Early Dismissal (Parent Teacher Conferences Grades K-12)
• 11/2: No School/Parent Teacher Conferences (Grades EC-8)/Early High School Dismissal
• 11/6: No School (Election Day)
• 11/21-11/23: No School (Thanksgiving)

December

• 12/21: Early Dismissal (School Improvement Day)
• 12/24 -1/4: No School

January

• 1/7: Classes Resume
• 1/18: Early Dismissal Grades K-12/No Early Childhood School (School Improvement Day)
• 1/21: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)

February

• 2/15: Early Dismissal (School Improvement Day)
• 2/18: No School (Presidents' Day)

March
