Montgomery Traffic Arrests, Battery Charges: Police, Sheriff

Crime incidents from across Montgomery from the Kendall County Sheriff's Office and Montgomery Police Department for March 1 through 4.

MONTGOMERY, IL —

Sunday, March 3

No valid driver's license

The Montgomery Police Department said Refugio A. Posada-Sanchez, 23, of the 300 block of Benton Street, Aurora, was arrested and cited for not having a valid driver's license. His vehicle was initially stopped for having only one head light at 10:35 p.m. in the 1500 block of Douglas Road. Refugio posted the required bond and was released on-scene with a pending court date.

No rear registreation light

Montgomery police said Angel Garcia, 20, of the 400 block of North View Drive, Aurora, was arrested and cited for driving while license suspended after his vehicle was stopped in the area of Route 31 and Watkins Road at 7:39 p.m. for not having a rear registration light. He posted the required bond and was released on scene with a pending court date, according to police.

Montogomery police said Yolanda Angulo, 50, of the 1800 Block of Felten Road, Aurora, was stopped at 8:16 p.m. for speeding in the area of Orchard Road and Knell Road. Angulo was arrested and cited for driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle, according to police. She posted the required bond and was released on-scene with a pending court date.

Domestic battery

The Kendall County Sheriff's Office said deputies responded to Rush Copley Hospital in Aurora for what they said was a report of an aggravated domestic battery that took place in the 0-99 block of Hillstone Road, unincorperated Montgomery. The sheriff's office said during the investigation, 36-year-old Michal S. Taylor, of the above location, was arrested for accusations of aggravated domestic battery. The sheriff's office said he was taken to the Kendall County Jail to await a bond hearing.

Driving while license suspended

Montgomery police said Jessica Brown, 26, of the 170 block of Springbrook Trlail, Oswego, was arrested and cited for driving while license suspended. Police said Brown was stopped at Douglas Road and Montgomery Road at 8:55 p.m., for disobeying a traffic control device. Brown posted the required bond and was released on-scene with a pending court date, according to police.

Saturday, March 2

Driving while license suspended

Montgomery police said Serena R. Stewart, 20, 1200 block Camden Lane, Aurora was arrested and cited for driving while license suspended during a traffic stop in the area of Route 30 and Gordon Road. Her vehicle was initially stopped around 4 a.m. for having an expired registration, police said. Serena posted the required bond and released on-scene with a pending court date.

Driving while license suspended

Montgomery police said Juzaleth Ortiz, 19, of the 1100 block of Douglas Road, Aurora, was arrested and cited for driving while license suspended and for operating an uninsured motor vehicle. She also had a valid warrant out of Kane County for failure to appear on a DWLS charge. Police said during the 9:30 p.m. traffic stop in the 1500 block of Douglas Road, she became sick and was taken a local hospital where she posted bond on the two traffic citations and was released into the custody of the Kane County Sheriffs Office on the outstanding warrant.

Aggravated Resisting

Ernesto Gonzalez, 21, of the 800 block of Columbia Street, Aurora, was a passenger inside the vehicle at the center of the above traffic stop with Juzaleth Ortiz, who police said became irate during the arrest of Ortiz. Police said an MPD officer tried stoppinp Gonzalez from interfering with the arrest of Ortiz and in doing so was battered by the man when he swatted the officer's hand. After being informed he was under arrest, police said Gonzalez resisted, causing minor injuries to two officers. He was transported to MPD where he was charged with 2 counts of agg resisting and 1 count of battery.

Friday, March 1

The Kendall County Sheriff's Office reports Patrick L. McCullah, 37, of the 230 block of Fairwind Drive, Montgomery, was booked on March 1 at the Kendall County Sheriff's Office for reason listed as adult felony charge. McCullah was previously sentenced on work release and charged with Aggravated Battery at 6:22 p.m., July 1, according to Kendall County Sheriff's Office officials, following an April 20, 2016 arrested on an aggraved battery warrant.
