New Stop Signs, Traffic Lights Coming To Montgomery: Brolley

Officials say additional signs and flags were also installed to call attention to the new stop signs.

MONTGOMERY, IL — New stop signs have been installed at the intersection of Concord and Gordon Roads in Montgomery, according to Village President Matt Brolley in a monthly newsletter. The intersection will now be a four-way stop. Officials say additional signs and flags were also installed to call attention to the new stop signs.

Brolley also said a new traffic signal will be installed this summer at the intersection of Concord and Galena Roads in a joint project with Oswego and Kendall County.

"As always, I would appreciate hearing from any of you with comments or suggestions as we continue to work together to make Montgomery an even better place to live and work," Brolley said.

If you'd like to take him up on that offer, Brolley will host a "Mayor on the Move" event Saturday, Feb. 2, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at The Archery Place. Officials say the drop-in event is an opportunity for residents to speak personally with the mayor and village trustees. Light refreshments will be provided.
