Retail Workers Injured, Car Stolen In Montgomery Armed Robbery
Police said the employees were ordered to get on the ground and then struck in the face. One employee's car was stolen.
MONTGOMERY, IL — Retail employees suffered minor injuries after a Montgomery business in the 1300 block of Douglas Road was robbed at gunpoint on Monday. Around 9:15 p.m., two suspects entered the store and ordered the employees to the ground.
Police said the suspects, both armed with handguns, struck the victims in the face.
The robbers made off with an undisclosed amount of cash and several cell phones. Police say they also took one of the victim's car keys and fled in the employee's vehicle.

The stolen vehicle was found a short distance from the crime scene.
As of Wednesday morning, the two suspects remained at large.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Montgomery Police Commander Palko at 331-212-9054. Callers can also remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 630-892-1000. Callers to Crime Stoppers can qualify for a cash reward up to $5,000 for information that leads to any arrests.
