
OSWEGO, IL — School District 308 has announced the September 2016 winners of its PRIDE (Proudly Recognizing Individuals Demonstrating Excellence) Recognition Program at the Board of Education meeting on Tuesday, October 11.
September 2016 teachers of the month are Michael Linden, eighth grade math teacher at Bednarcik Junior High School, and Michelle Brucher, pre-kindergarten teacher at Brokaw Early Learning Center.
Employees of the month are Rosa Cruz, school secretary at Oswego East High School, and Andrea Wiaduch, district administrative grant coordinator.

Stacy Kim, a volunteer at Tiger Depot and Thompson Junior High, and Heather Horne, the new fundraising chair for Oswego East High School, were named volunteers of the month.
The PRIDE program allows the Board of Education to formally recognize the efforts of teachers, employees, and volunteers who are engaged in exceptional work across School District 308.

Each month, the program recognizes two individuals from three separate categories: teachers, employees, and volunteers. A committee made up of various district groups and organizations selects the winners, and committee members serve six-month terms.
If you know someone deserving of the award, you can nominate him or her using the link on School District 308’s website or via mail. Details for the nomination process are also listed on the website. Any School District 308 colleague, administrator, student, parent, community member or alumnus can make the nomination. Self-nominations are not accepted.
