'Slow Speed' Chase In Montgomery: Sheriff's Department

On Friday just before 10 p.m. Kendall County Sheriff Deputies responded to a report of a vehicle that had driven away from a traffic stop, according to a department press release.

The vehicle was initially near the intersection of Sierra and Saugatuck Roads, and it led deputies on a slow speed pursuit for eight minutes before stopping at Birchwood Court.

Khalid Dawud Bin-Walee, a 37-year-old Montgomery man, was arrested and charged with fleeing and attempting to elude police, obstructing a peace officer, and multiple traffic violations. He was booked at the Kendall County Jail.

A charge is merely an accusation of a crime, not a finding of guilt.
