Most of the day when you’re at work you’re sitting at your desk. You get up to go to lunch or the restroom but other than that did you walk around at all? Stand up, take a walk around the office. Anything to get you moving helps!

2. Pace on the phone

Whenever you’re on the phone make it a habit to stand up and pace back and forth. If you have your own office just use your speakerphone or you can even purchase a headset.

3. Get a Standing Desk

Using a standing desk is a great way keep you engaged and focused. Some companies have even been known to accommodate their employees with standing desks if asked.

4. Do things in person

Instead of instant messaging, emailing or calling a coworker with a question, why not walk over there and ask them in person? It gives you a break from sitting and a break from staring at your computer screen!

5. Take the stairs

Unless you’re on a high floor of a city building you have no excuse but to take the stairs. This will get your blood pumping and can even turn into a mini workout.
